In a Feb. 25 Science, Anna Gibbs mistaken referred to mild March weather that will affect the “lower 58 states” of the U.S. That should be the “lower 48 states.”
In a Feb. 21 Science, Jason Bittel misstated that the state of Alaska implemented a bounty system in 1917 to limit its bald-eagle population. At that time, Alaska was a territory, not a state.
